When the plan changes,
what happens next?
Keynote Speaker | CEO
Financial Professional | Entrepreneur

Megan Clark knows what it means to have the plan change.
She entered adulthood expecting a career in medicine.
The 2008 financial crisis changed that trajectory.
Years later, life changed the plan again.
Through business transitions, profound personal loss, motherhood, and eventually stepping into the CEO role of the company her father built, Megan learned that resilience isn't pretending everything is fine.
It's building the clarity, preparation, and confidence to decide what comes next.
Messages that stay with people after they leave the room.
Megan's keynotes combine real-life experience, practical strategy, and honest conversations about what happens when the life—or business—you planned isn't the one you get.

Why Megan
She didn’t learn resilience from a textbook.
In 2008, Megan Clark had a very different future planned. She had graduated from UVA with a degree in biology and was preparing for a career in medicine when the financial markets crashed—and the direction of her life changed with them. She stepped into Clark Financial Solutions to help her father navigate an incredibly uncertain time. There, she witnessed two very different realities. Longtime clients came through the doors calm and grateful because they had prepared for moments of uncertainty. Others arrived scared, some in tears, after watching significant portions of what they had spent a lifetime building disappear. Megan saw firsthand what preparation could mean when life didn’t go according to plan. Years later, that lesson would become deeply personal. Her father became ill and eventually passed away. Megan navigated the responsibility of carrying forward the business he had spent his life building. She experienced the devastating loss of her son. She stepped fully into the role of CEO. And later, she welcomed her daughter into the world while continuing to grow and lead the company. Megan’s story isn’t about everything that went wrong. It’s about what you build before life changes—and how you lead after it does. Today, Megan brings that perspective to the stage, combining her experience as a CEO, financial professional, entrepreneur, daughter, and mother to help audiences think differently about preparation, resilience, leadership, and the decisions we make when the plan changes.
